Event Details
The Social Justice Book Club explores social justice issues through literature and nonfiction while providing a safe place to discuss important topics, share ideas, and inspire critical thinking about equality and justice.
We meet the first Thursday of every month at 6PM at the Mission Branch Library, we are currently doing hybrid meetings.
A note on content warnings. The topics covered in the books we read for the Social Justice Book Club will inherently have difficult, possibly triggering descriptions of events. Without being able to warn ahead of time about all of the potential triggers in each book we read, I ask that you please take the time to check-in with yourself and give yourself the permission to disengage if you are feeling overwhelmed.
