With a maximum occupancy of 65, the Mission Branch Library Community Room is 712 square feet (36x19) with north facing windows, semi-blackout blinds and a studio sized small sink. Public restrooms are accessed through a keyed entrance.
No set up is provided. All use of the Mission Branch Community Room is self service.
Access is provided through Library during open hours. Separate keys are required for the storage closets and for the restrooms, key is provided by Library staff with room access, during open hours.
A refundable $25 key deposit is required for access outside of Library open hours, additional entrance from the police/library shared parking lots.
The Mission Branch Library Community Room is open for use by groups, organizations, and businesses engaged in educational, cultural, intellectual, civic, or charitable activities; and will be available on an equitable basis, regardless of the beliefs or affiliations of the individuals or groups requesting their use. Private parties, which are not open to the public, such as wedding rehearsals, birthday celebrations, or other private events, are not permitted.
Outside organizations may use the room once per month for a fee. Room rates vary depending on type of user and when event will take place. The room is available daily from 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. Reservations must be made at least 2 weeks in advance and fees charged will include user's access and exit times.
Refreshments can be served in the rooms for an additional non-refundable cleaning charge of $25. No cleaning fee will be charged if only water is served in the room.
