Join us in celebrating Women's History Month with a night of traditional Mexican music performed by San Marcos-based artists Dueto Dos Rosas. Sign-ups are required for this free event.

Maria Figueroa-Chacon will kick off the event by facilitating a short conversation with sisters Emily and Sheyla Rosas—who together make up Dueto Dos Rosas—on their experiences as female artists within a male-dominated field.

Dueto Dos Rosas have been playing and singing música campirana, the traditional music of Southern Mexico, since 2014. Their YouTube channel has over 690,000 subscribers, and their videos over 285 milliion views. Maria Figueroa Chacon is a Miracosta College Faculty English Professor who also serves as Board Vice-President at Centro Cultural de La Raza in Balboa Park.
