The Library is proud to host a free author event on Friday, November 17 at 2:00 p.m. in honor of Veteran’s Day. Jo Joslyn is author of the book Unmistakable Errors, the Travel Club Mystery, an intriguing fictional novel with the real backstory of the current Camp LeJeune Water Contamination tragedy. In the novel, Maggie, a former teacher, enlists her three trusted friends to help uncover a grave injustice. The four unlikely sleuths, aided by capable San Diego detectives, embark on a perilous undertaking involving unknown risks, intrigue, deception, devotion, and murder. Author Jo Joslyn has spent over thirty years as an avid mystery reader, educator, writing teacher, and writing consultant. The inspiration for her book comes from the fact that her husband, Lt. Colonel William Joslyn, USMC, died because of his exposure to contaminated water after serving at the Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune, North Carolina. Books will be available for purchase and signing at the event.
This program is supported by the Friends of Oceanside Public Library. The Oceanside Public Library aims to empower the community by promoting literacy, information access, civic engagement, cultural inclusiveness, and openness to new ideas.
