Event Details

Lovers of the art of illusion and sleight of hand are invited to join the Friends of the Oceanside Public Library on Friday August 1 for a special one-night-only magic show event at the Sunshine Brooks Theatre located at 217 North Coast Highway. Magician Mark Paskell will astonish the audience with impossible tricks in the Spellbinder Magic Show. Perfect for all ages, this event features jaw-dropping illusions and mind-bending surprises that will leave the audience amazed.

Mark became a professional magician at the age of 15, and developed his skills performing in Las Vegas.  Paskell has performed for celebrities such as Steven Spielberg, John Travolta, Sylvester Stallone, as well as for many Fortune 500 companies. He is proud to have assisted David Copperfield in his development of Project Magic, a teaching program for children and adults with disabilities. In addition to performing, Mark consults on motion pictures, television shows, and circus acts.

Tickets are $25 and available online at oceansidetheatre.org, or at the door while supplies last. The show begins at 8 p.m. and is preceded by a no-host Happy Hour at 5 p.m. All proceeds benefit Oceanside Public Library programs throughout the year.
