Ruminating with Rūmī

Join the Oceanside Public Library in welcoming poetry scholar and author Ahmad Rashid Salim for a workshop and discussion covering the poetry of Rūmī.

Ahmad will show us how to approach a poem and speak to the art of recitation - especially important when studying Persian poetry. He will share recordings of both classic and contemporary poetry and discuss how the life and philosophy of the poet is reflected in the work.
