The Globe for All Tour brings free, live, professional productions of Shakespeare and select productions from our mainstage to diverse multigenerational audiences in the neighborhoods throughout San Diego County. Since its inception in 2014, the Globe for All Tour has made theatre matter to more than 11,000 people. With production values scaled to non-theatrical venues such as gymnasiums, cafeterias, and multipurpose rooms, the tour gives audiences an intimate, up-close, and visceral experience of live performance and fosters a shared sense of community between performer and spectator.

Join us for a live, professional production of Henry V, brought to you by Globe for All.

“The tour embodies our commitment to make theatre matter to more people." said Erna Finci Viterbi Artistic Director Barry Edelstein. "This year we bring one of my own very favorite Shakespeare plays to our partner venues: Henry V. It’s a story about war and patriotism, but it’s also one of Shakespeare’s greatest examinations of leadership and how it works. It’s incredibly exciting, suspenseful, and energetic, and it contains some of Shakespeare’s most rousing writing. The Globe is fortunate to welcome back the brilliant Johanna McKeon to direct. Her insights are keen, and her sense of how to put on a great and thrilling show are unrivaled. I’m so looking forward to traveling with the show and watching theatre draw our region together.”

“Once more unto the breach, dear friends, once more!”

Our Globe for All Tour brings the Bard’s thrilling history play to the San Diego community. The year is 1415, and the young and reckless Prince Hal has left his wild partying days behind and matured into thoughtful kingship. He rallies a ragtag group of English soldiers for a long-shot invasion of the mighty kingdom of France. Full of action and the electrifying language that marks Shakespeare at his height, Henry V is a rousing portrait of courage against all odds, directed by Johanna McKeon (NouraAnonymous Biography).

Globe for All is offering an accompanying workshop at Oceanside Public Library.
